Oba Fatai Ayinla Aileru II JP

His Royal Majesty Alayeluwa Oba Fatai Ayinla Aileru II JP was with Mushin Local Government till 1977, when his name was Forwarded to Lagos State Government as the Oba – Elect and his name was approved on 5 January, 1978.
The official Kingmakers who selected Alayeluwa Oba Fatai Ayinla Aileru 11 are Oluwo of Aileru, Late Chief Mufutau Sadiku Aileru, Otun Ekerin of Mushin Late Chief Yekinni Aganran, Asiwaju of Mushin Late Chief Shittu Bakare, Eletu of Mushin Late Chief Jinadu Abore and Asoju Oba of Mushin Late Chief Tijani Akinniyi; So he was called upon to take the place of his Fore fathers and there was no objection to his nomination because of his pivot role in the family and in the society.
The Coronation/Installation ceremony took place on Saturday 2nd June, 1979 at the public square, Ojuwoye Street, Mushin at 2.00 p.m prompt after the Oba Elect had observed three [3] days rite at ipebi. The Ceremony was colourful and was Chairmaned by the then Military Administrator of Lagos State Commodore Ebitu Okoh Ukiwe (Pss, Fss) .It commenced with a special prayer offered by the Chief Imam of Mushin Central Mosque, Alhaji Alimi Bakare, The Introduction of Special Guest of Honour and other Dignitaries present was done by Alhaji T. A Otunuyi, The then secretary to Mushin Local Government.
The Oba was crowned in the presence of all By the Asoju Oba of Mushin Chief Kasali Akinniyi, Later then Administrator of Lagos State gave a stimulating address and presented the staff of office to the new Oba, His Royal Majesty Alayeluwa Oba Fatai Ayinla Aileru II J.P. The Oba gave a brief promising and stimulating response after which he received the traditional calabash, which is
“Honey”.
The Asiwaju of Mushin Chief Shittu Bakare brought the occasion to an end with a brief Vote of Thanks.
