…Presents operational vehicle to radio station

The police officers and CP Tactical team in Mushin have received another boost to strengthen their fight against criminal elements and civil unrest in the community as the Executive Chairman, Hon. Emmanuel Bamigboye, today donated two Sienna space buses to the Area D Police Command and the CP Tactical Team OWL in Ladipo.
The three operational vehicles which were commissioned today, had two handed over to the security teams, by the member of Governance Advisory Council in Lagos and Apex Leader in Mushin and Odi Olowo, Senator Ganiyu Olanrewaju Solomon; while the other one was presented to the management of the newly established Radio station (Isokan Radio 106.7FM).
The Distinguished Senator who came with his son, Mr. Tunde Solomon, member representing Mushin in the Lagos State House of Assembly and Engr. Alaba Sholabi, first went round the premises to inspect the facilities and equipment put in place for the kick-off of the radio station. He also had a brief session in the radio studio as part of activities to test run the radio station.
During the session, which was anchored by the Head of Public Affairs unit of Mushin Local Government – Mrs. Adebisi Aderinto, the former council chairman and two-term senator expressed his happiness on the newly established radio station which is the first of its kind in Nigeria, and it happened in his own constituency, Mushin Local Government. He applauded the two-term national award winning chairman, who happens to be a product of his political dynasty, for the great and impressive initiative to establish a radio station that will facilitate information dissemination between the government and the people in Mushin.
Sen. Ganiyu Solomon, encouraged that the full potentials of the radio station should be harnessed to facilitate social enlightenment and interaction and used as instrument for community development. He also advised that the operations should be in accordance with the code of ethics of the National Broadcasting Commission and the operation should project the image of Mushin to the entire world.
In his interview, the member representing Mushin Constituency 02 in the Lagos State House of Assembly, Hon. Yinka Kazeem (Esho), expressed his happiness which is the fulfilment of the dream and vision of the first Executive Governor of Lagos State Late Alhaji Lateef Jakande, when he established Radio Lagos and Lagos Television in 1979, to encourage and bring the media closer to the people.
He acknowledged that the chairman has put Mushin ahead by being the first Local Government to establish a radio station both in Lagos State and the entire Nigeria.
In his words, the Executive Chairman, Hon. Emmanuel Bamigboye, emphasised that the radio station is an attestation to the numerous development projects of his administration. He stated that the invitation of the Apex leader was to allow the Apex have a feel of the account of stewardship of his administration and to let the people know that information is also key after various empowerment and development projects in the community.
After the presentation, the Senator in company of the council chairman and Assembly member, visited Mushin General Hospital, to inspect the ongoing building project at the hospital, as they were received by the Medical Director – Dr. Taiwo.
Also at programme today, were the Board member of former Lagos State Polytechnic – Engr. Alaba Sholabi, Vice Chairman of Mushin Local Government – Hon. Tunbosun Aruwe, Leader of legislative Arm – Hon. Olawale Ayegbayo, Councillors, Council secretary – Mrs. Olubunmi Gbadamosi, Council Manager – Mrs. Adepeju Ogidan, Human Resource Officer – Mr. Habeeb Bello, Supervisors, Special Advisers/Assistants, management staff, council staff and other political leaders.
